According to VietNamNet’s sources, last week the Noi Bai International Airport welcomed 5 Boeing C-17 Globemaster III flights of the US Air Force which brought a lot of equipment for the security of the flight.
There will be 2-3 flights to Hanoi this week, carrying 77 tons of cargo each flight.
To accommodate the visit, the US is expected to use about 50 flights to transport 600-800 people as well as equipment to serve security tasks, including the US President’s specialized car called "The Beast" and the helicopter Marine One to serve the travel of the American President in Vietnam.

During the visit, Obama will hold official meetings with Vietnam's leadership to discuss ways for the U.S.-Vietnam Comprehensive Partnership to advance cooperation across a wide range of areas, including economic, people-to-people, security, human rights, and global and regional issues.
In Hanoi, the US President will deliver a speech on U.S.-Vietnam relations. During meetings and events in Hanoi and HCM City, he will discuss the importance of approving the Trans-Pacific Partnership this year.
The US President also will meet with members of civil society, the Young Southeast Asian Leadership Initiative, entrepreneurs, and the business community.

After Vietnam, President Obama will go to Japan to attend the G7 Summit on May 26-27 in Ise-Shima.
