Saigon’s “Ceramics King" owns 100,000 antiques

After nearly 25 years of collecting, Dinh Cong Tuong, 48, has been dubbed the "ceramic king" as he owns nearly 100,000 antique ceramic items.
Tuong, a HCM City resident, began collecting antique ceramic at the age of 24. His passion for this hobby began after his aunt gave him an ancient bowl and plate as gifts. After two decades, he now has over 100,000 ceramic items of all kinds, including unique ones.
His collection includes ancient pottey items of Vietnam, China, Singapore, France, Japan... dating back from the 12th century to the early 20th century.
In 2011, the Guinness Book Centre of Vietnam recognized Tuong as the owner of the largest collection of ceramic antiques in Vietnam, with more than 80,000 items. Currently, the collection has increased to nearly 100,000 items.
Tuong was also recognized as the owner of the largest collection of ancient vases in Vietnam.
