Ha Noi marks 224th anniversary of Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory
The 2013 Dong Da festival is opened with the sounds of gong in memory of King Quang Trung-Nguyen Hue and Tay Son soldiers.

In the early spring of 1789, Nguyen Hue, who was later proclaimed Emperor Quang Trung, launched a surprise attack and defeated more than 29,000 Qing soldiers during a five-day Lunar New Year battle.
